2012 Memorial Cup Underway

Rich Dillon

2012-05-20

The 2012 Memorial Cup is underway, and the opening game saw the Edmonton Oil Kings come away with a 4-3 victory over Shawinigan. Draft-eligible defenseman Griffin Reinhart was the games’ First Star, with a goal and an assist.

Reinhart is 6’4 and may still be growing, and has huge potential as well. Has has an NHL shot to go with his NHL size, and is learning how to use that size effectively. Reinhart plays a physical game and at times will dominate a game. If he reaches even close to his enormous upside, the team that selects him in June will be very happy.
