Christoffer Sedoff

March 2026 – Sedoff was the player portion of a “pick & prospect” deal for the Vegas Golden Knights to acquire veteran Cole Smith at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline. The 24-year-old adds some defensive depth to the minor leagues with the Milwaukee Admirals. He has recorded 28 points in 145 games over three seasons with the Henderson Silver Knights. The Finnish defender is likely a career AHL player at this point in his career. Chris Babos

July 2025 – Sedoff saw 61 games in his sophomore AHL season, scoring four times and adding 10 assists. He peppered less than a shot and a half per game on opposing goalies, and didn’t see any powerplay time. He finished the season with one point in 26 games, and likely isn’t due for a call up any time soon. Alex Wyatt

March 2023- At long last, an NHL team has finally opened the door for Christoffer Sedoff, recently signing with the Vegas Golden Knights as an undrafted free agent. A capable skater who turned 21 in February, Sedoff presents an interesting case study as an undrafted overager who’s draft year, his first in North America, was shut down by COVID. The following season, 20-21, saw Sedoff return home to play on loan and make the steep climb to Liiga (the 4th ranked league in Europe, and the top league in Finland). Since returning to North America and to Red Deer for 2021-22, he’s shown significant growth in his offensive game and continued to round out a solid defensive game with a bit more physicality to become an all-star defensemen in the ‘Dub’ over the past two seasons. A prospect camp invite with Calgary last offseason proved unfortuitous, but another strong season with the Rebels was enough for the Knights to finally give Sedoff his chance.
