Observations:
June 2015 – Sissons has picked up his offensive game in his first two years in the AHL. In 2013-2014 he was Milwaukee's leading scorer with 25 goals and 19 assists in 62 games while being nominated to the all star team; he also posted a goal and three assists in 17 NHL games. 2014-2015 was a bit of a different story being pushed down the roster with the arrival of European prospects Pontus Aberg, Viktor Arvidsson and mid season arrival of Kevin Fiala pushed Sissons into more of a defensive role where he was able to repeat his 25 goal performance but only added 17 assists while playing 76 games. Colton took more of a leadership role wearing an "A" in 2014-2015 and if he doesn't make the Predators in a depth role next season he could have a chance to get back onto the top line in Milwaukee. Benjamin Gallant
May 2013 – Colton Sissons showed great offensive improvement with the Kelowna Rockets bumping his points per game up from 0.71 the previous season to 1.01 this season. While generally considered a defensive specialist, Sissons does have modest offensive upside if given the right situation. Despite the offensive improvement, Sissons may be gaining an injury-prone label. Separate injuries this season caused Sissons to miss Canada's national junior team's selection camp, as well as the entirety of the WHL playoffs. Concussion issues also resulted in him missing a large chunk of the 2011-2012 season. Donesh Mazloum
December 2012 – Colton Sissons was one of 21 forwards invited to take part in Canada's National Junior Selection camp for the 2013 World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia. Brendan Ross
June 2012 – The Nashville Predators selected Colton Sissons from the Kelowna Rockets in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft (50th overall). Brendan Ross
March 2012 – Colton Sissons has a relentless desire to battle for pucks and an excellent work ethic. Sissons’ leadership skills contributed to him being named captain of the Kelowna Rockets at the tender age of 17. In addition to his hard work, Sissons boasts a decent scoring touch and has been known to drop the gloves on occasion. John Canario
Fantasy Outlook: C+
Sissons has a slew of intangibles that are prized by NHL general managers and coaches, but are not valued as significantly by fantasy GMs. Lofty point totals at the NHL level are highly unlikely.
