January 2017 - Tyler Moy has enjoyed modest success in his first full season of professional hockey. Moy currently has four goals and nine points through 30 games with the Milwaukee Admirals. Most recently, Moy has been playing right wing on the Admirals’ first line, alongside Bobby Butler and Trevor Smith. He is a cerebral two-way forward who can play both center and right wing, who skates well, and has enough size to play physically and be strong on the puck. As Moy continues to adjust to professional hockey, he should see an increase in production and opportunities on the power play and penalty kill. Long term, Moy projects as a bottom-six forward who can be relied on defensively. Tyler Halsey

January 2017 — In the final year of his NHL Entry Draft eligibility, Tyler Moy was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round. Moy and Jimmy Vesey, both drafted by the Predators, played on the same line together while Vesey was still with the Harvard Crimsons.

Moy has been described as a late bloomer, ready to take off. He is a smart two-way player, who can be relied on in both ends of the ice. He can skate well and put up some points. We will most likely see him as a lower line center at the pro level. Niko Salminen
