Smart and reliable two-way defenseman with solid defensive game and some puck-moving abilities. Better for real life than fantasy hockey.
Jérémie Poirier
Skilled, puck moving defender who skates well with the puck. His hockey IQ makes him dangerous in the offensive zone and effective in the defensive zone. Poirier does an excellent job seeing the ice and being proactive in the play.
Frédéric Allard
Still unproven but has legit top-4 and power play potential.
Henry Thrun
A well balanced defenseman. Good puck mover that can shoot the puck well and plays smart defensively.
Nikita Okhotiuk
Physical, defensive-minded defender with bottom-pairing NHL upside.
Shakir Mukhamadullin
Tall, mobile two-way defenseman. Closes gaps quickly and effectively, and can skate his way out of offensive pressure with fluidity and purpose. Has top-two D upside, though more likely a 4th-5th D. Fantasy drafts that account for plus-minus should look for this player.
Daniil Zhuravlyov
A complimentary d-man with limited upside but pairs well with talented partners
Lian Bichsel
Massive, smooth-skating blue-liner with polished defensive habits. Offensive tools need some work but could easily become a top-four defensive defenseman.
Reece Scarlett
Not overly strong at any one thing. Could become a third pairing defenseman at the NHL level.
