Yegor Yegorov

March 2026 – Yegorov has responded well in his move to MHK Spartak-MAH Moskva, posting a .919 save percentage and 2.92 GAA as the primary starter across 36 MHL games – strong numbers given the team’s 13-16-6 record, suggesting he is outperforming the team in front of him. He is listed on both Moscow Spartak’s KHL and Voskresensk Khimik’s VHL rosters without logging stats in either, suggesting availability as an emergency option without seeing action at either level. A sixth-round pick with a long runway ahead of him, the Russian goalie development system remains a point in his favour. His upward trajectory is a shot in the arm for fantasy managers who used late round picks to stash him – we could be looking at an NHL tandem goaltender within four to five seasons. Ryan Downey

June 2025 – Last year was an interesting one for Yegorov. He split time between the VHL, MHL, and NMHL. While he struggled this past year, it was also his first year in a new system, his first new system since 2022. He will likely play in the MHL next year and could get a few looks in the VHL. It will take a lot of progress and time before Yegorov is close to the NHL, but given the runway of being a netminder and the strengths of the Russian goalie development system, there is still a shot that Yegorov makes the NHL.
