November 2023 – With Hofer now in the NHL, Zherenko has assumed a larger role in the AHL and his performance has been exceptional. In six games, he boasts a 0.921 save percentage and a 2.52 goals against average. Despite the small sample size, two key factors instill hope that these impressive stats can be sustained throughout the entire season. First, Zherenko has displayed consistency by not allowing more than three goals in any single game. Second, he has achieved these statistics while facing the fifth-highest number of shots in the league, with a total of 211. May 2023 – After being one of the best young goalies in Russia for five years and a one-season stint in Finland that present his difficulties. Zherenko made the jump last season to North America, playing for the Blues’ AHL club. Unfortunately, for him, he was stuck behind one of the best goalies in the AHL, Joel Hofer. Zherenko was still able to play 25 games for the team, posting an impressive 913 svS%. Zherenko had the opportunity of being called up by St. Louis twice, but still has not made his debut.
