Fantasy Summary
While his relative lack of production would not indicate so, Peddle has a fairly high offensive ceiling and a wicked shot to compliment refined offensive habits; that said, the floor is quite low as well.

June 2025 – The Columbus Blue Jackets did not sign Peddle by June 1, 2025, therefore relinquishing his rights. Peddle is an unrestricted free agent. Mark Henry
June 2023 – With the last pick of the 2023 NHL draft, Peddle was selected 224 overall by the Blue Jackets. Pat Quinn
April 2023 – Tyler Peddle is a lethal goalscorer who just hasn’t had shooting luck since the first half of the 2021-22 season. A sniper seemingly incapable of scoring at a high rate in the QMJHL is often a red flag, but Peddle may be an exception. The jewel of his toolkit is his shot. He generates tremendous power and can shoot from a variety of positions with a versatile set of releases. In the offensive zone, he is in constant motion, varying his angles of attack and searching for soft ice with strong scanning habits. While he is a shoot-first player, Peddle is a very effective short-range passer. He may not be a playmaker, but he is more than capable of executing quick passes under heavy pressure to maintain possession and progress the run of play. His physical frame is a good one, and he does well to establish inside positioning in puck races and in and around the slot. Defensively, he applies his strong scanning habits to stay in a good position. Still, his defensive activity rate and his fluid integration into defensive structures both remain works in progress, though both have come quite a long way since his D-1 season. Skating remains a weakness for Peddle; he stays quite upright in his stride, which limits his explosiveness as well as his leverage in puck battles. Peddle has fringe second-line upside despite the lack of impressive production and is a big breakout candidate for next season. However, unlike past D+1 QMJHL breakout stars, Peddle possesses a range of refined habits that will ease the transition to professional hockey. Sebastian High
