Stanislav Yarovoi

March 2026 – Yarovoi has spent most of this season with Khimik Voskresensk in the VHL rather than the KHL, posting eight goals and 19 points in 43 games – similar production to his KHL numbers with HC Vityaz last year, just at a lower level of competition. That is not an encouraging sign for a player now in his third professional season in Russia. He does not appear to impact the game meaningfully at either end, and has given Carolina little reason to consider bringing him over. The Hurricanes have historically shown patience with Russian prospects, but the organization has far more interesting stories developing in Nikita Artamonov, Alexander Perevalov, Alex Rykov, and Timur Mukhanov – each with more runway and more compelling trajectories, and so Yarovoi has an uphill battle if he wants to be considered for a role in the Hurricanes NA pro system. June 2025 – A report from Championat in Russia states that Stanislav Yarovoi is expected to sign his entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. A fourth-round pick in 2023, Yarovoi is a solid two-way forward who found playing time in the KHL through his strong defensive play, as he served as a penalty killer for Vityaz over the past two seasons. There is more skill to be found within his game, but he was mainly used as a fourth-line forward throughout his time with Vityaz. Nick Bass

June 2025 – A draft re-entry that they selected in the fourth round of the 2023 draft. He spent nearly all of 2024-2025 with Vityaz Moscow of the KHL, scoring nine goals and adding three assists for 12 points in 49 games. Given the variance in deployment that younger players can experience in the KHL, it can be hard to get a read on all but the most prolific scorers in the Russian leagues. Despite this, it is safe to presume that a top-six role and offensive prowess are not the hallmarks of Yarovoi’s game. One would expect that if he earns a roster spot, he is likely to be more of a middle-to-bottom-six player and feature more on the defensive side of the game. Alex Wyatt
