June 2025 – Rumours abound that Yarovoi will be coming to North America after signing a contract (yet to happen as of writing) with Carolina. He was a draft re-entry that they selected in the fourth round of the 2023 draft. He spent nearly all of 2024-2025 with Vityaz Moscow of the KHL scoring nine goals and adding three assists for 12 points in 49 games. Given the variance in deployment that younger players can experience in the KHL, it can be hard to get a read on all but the most prolific scorers in the Russian leagues. Despite this, it is safe to presume that a top-six role and offensive prowess are not the hallmarks of Yarovoi’s game. One would expect that if he earns a roster spot, he is likely to be more of a middle-to-bottom-six player, and feature more on the defensive side of the game. Alex Wyatt
