Saige Weinstein

December 2025 – Weinstein has begun his pro career in the ECHL, and currently has 1 point through 22 games played. His SOG and PIM volumes are both down while other teammates have been able to produce more offense, it might be safe to say this undrafted blueliner has a longer development timeline ahead despite his jump and (theoretically) diverse toolkit. Hayden Soboleski

September 2025 – Weinstein is poised to begin his pro hockey career in 2025-26 after a long WHL career, ending with a 27-point, 74-PIM campaign. He has never put up huge numbers, but his shot volume is very high which could bring hidden fantasy value. Listed at 6-01 but appearing slighter than that on the ice, he isn’t afraid to throw his weight around despite being outmatched by bigger opponents. He brings intensity and energy, keeps his feet moving especially in the offensive zone, and is consistently involved in the play, hence his high shooting numbers. He will need to learn how to harness his energy and choose the right times rather than do everything everywhere, and how to match up against larger forward in his own end. Expect at least 2 years in the AHL, with any fantasy potential coming through on his next pro contract. Hayden Soboleski
