June 2025 – The Nashville Predators acquired Rolston on November 27. 2024 for future considerations. Initially drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth round (139th overall) in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Rolston has yet to play in an NHL game and has spent the last two seasons in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals and Rockford IceHogs after leaving the NCAA’s University of Notre Dame after the 2022-23 season.
Rolston is entering the final season of his three-year, entry-level contract that he signed with the Chicago Blackhawks on March 13, 2023. With the Nashville Predators seemingly having no direction as a franchise under General Manager Barry Trotz, Rolston could make his NHL debut during the 2025-26 season, but will not carry any fantasy value unless he becomes an NHL regular. Another year of development in the AHL is the most likely scenario during the 2025-26 season, after which we will wait and see where he ends up after his current contract expires. Mark Henry
