December 2020 – O’Reilly was drafted out of the USHL by the Red Wings in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL draft. He spent the next two seasons in the USHL as well and scored 32 points in 43 games during his final season with Green Bay. O’Reilly was initially committed to the University of Denver but switched his commitment to the University of Arizona where he has gotten off to a hot start in 2020-2021 with three goals and two assists through his first eight NCAA contests. O’Reilly is a powerful winger who shoots the puck at a high volume. He does well to get to scoring areas where he can outmuscle opposing defenders. There are concerns about his mobility and overall hockey sense, but he has the raw tools to be a force at the college level in the coming seasons. Nick Richard
