Ryan Cameron

September 2026 – Ryan Cameron is an athletic, undersized goaltender the Edmonton Oilers selected 212th overall with their final pick, an overager who earned the nod on the back of a decorated resume. As a rookie in the North American Hockey League in 2024-25 he was dominant, winning USA Hockey’s Dave Peterson Goaltender of the Year and the NAHL’s top honors with a 1.24 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage. He stepped up to the United States Hockey League this past season as Cedar Rapids’ workhorse, going 24-11-5 with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage across 40 games while carrying the RoughRiders to a Clark Cup playoff berth. At 6-foot he lacks ideal size, but he counters with pure speed, quick footwork, and a calm, structured, mature game beyond his years, though reading quality passing plays at the USHL level can still trouble him. He was traded to the Sioux Falls Stampede and will play there in 2026-27 before Boston College. For fantasy he is a watch-only stash in deep goalie leagues, and whether he sustains the numbers as he climbs levels is the tell before any dynasty consideration. Andrew Epps
