October 2022 – Andreasson was never drafted, likely because he is a bit on the smaller side and his birth date makes him extremely young for his draft year. His production was modest in his draft year, but he exploded in his draft plus two year in the J20 SuperElit with 45 points in 44 games for Frolunda HC J20. Since then, he has bounced around the HockeyEttan and Allsvenskan before excelling in the SHL in 2021-22 for Lulea HF. As a 23-year-old, he put up 38 points in 52 games with a relatively even split between goals and assists. He has transitioned to North America for 2022-23 after signing with the Red Wings in April 2022. So far, he has looked really good in the AHL for the Grand Rapid Griffins. He has a good shot that he can get off in a hurry and is adept at changing angles. He’s an underrated play-maker, though his shot is more of his calling card, even though he doesn’t shoot nearly often enough. Defensively, he could use some work in terms of positioning and taking the best lines though the effort is generally there. He should get a look in a scoring role and if he makes the most of it, could be a very interesting option for the Red Wings. Victor Nuño
