Philippe Veilleux

June 2025 – After being one of the QMJHL’s most productive players, Veilleux followed that up with a reasonably productive 3 goals and 6 points in a 5-game series loss to Shawinigan. While the shot, the hands, and (particularly) the high-end playmaking vision and creativity still look to be among the best in the Q (and maybe the draft), the combination of low pace and inconsistent defensive engagement with his 5-9 frame leaves more questions than answers.—Luke Sweeney
