Nikita Novosyolov

June 2026 – Colorado has signed netminder Nikita Novosyolov out of the VHL after he put up a .932 SV% in 40 games in the Russian second-tier league (top-10 in the league). He has signed with the Avs for two years (starting 2026-27) and while an immediate AHL role is possible, there’s a chance his North American journey begins in the ECHL depending on which RFAs stay in the organization this summer. At 6-2 he has the prerequisite size for the crease, and at 22-years-old he has lots of runway to prove himself if things go well. Previously undrafted and unproven at a high level (he has just 3 KHL games under his belt), consider Novosyolov a long-term prospect until his stat lines include stronger competition. Hayden Soboleski
