May 2022 – Sandin and the Philadelphia Flyers agreed to a contract extension that keeps him with the organization for one more season. The 26-year-old is cementing himself as more of an AHL regular than someone with NHL upside. Even in a season where Philadelphia suffered countless injuries to significant players, the Flyers elected to pass over calling up Sandin, allowing younger players to receive NHL ice-time. As a result, Sandin’s NHL upside, at least in Philadelphia, is minimal. John Gove
June 2020 – Sandin has parlayed his 2019-20 SHL season into a one-year show-me contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. It was a hard-earned opportunity for the 24-year old as he tied for third in the top Swedish league with 19 goals through 51 games. The contract will be in effect for the 2020-21 season. He is a grinder that projects to be a bottom-six fixture provided he can crack the roster in the fall. Edric Joseph
