June 2018 – Hultström scored five goals and 24 points in 44 games in the SHL and then added five goals and six points in 11 playoff games. It’s very unlikely we’ll see Hultström making the jump to North America. Jokke Nevalainen
Oct 2017 – Hultstrom signed a two-year deal in the SHL with Djurgarden. While Hultstrom is still young, this experience with the NHL cannot be one that he views fondly. He did not show up to training camp for the Panthers and this signing was announced after. Add Hultstrom to your extremely deep watch list and if he ever scopes out the NHL again, maybe you can pick up a gem. Until then, probably many others you can have on your roster. – Joel Henderson
May 2016- Hultstrom has picked up his offensive production as part of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) in the last 2 seasons. This past season he was tied for first in points among defencemen in the SHL, registering 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 52 games played in the regular season. In post-season play, he lead his team in points with 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in eight games played. Being able to put up those points in the SHL is very impressive for his age. Scouts say that he has some work to do on the defensive side of his game. He signed a 2-year contract with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday May 3, 2016. Chris Crawford
