June 2023 – Jackson had a great year in the OHL, likely his last before graduating to the Coachella Valley Firebirds, with 31 goals and 52 assists in 67 games played. The Firebirds are likely to see a graduate or two from their roster after their game 7 Championship loss, and there is no shortage of talent in the Junior ranks ready for their shot at professional hockey. Keep an eye on Jackson and watch his development, though it may be some time before he gets to set skate on NHL ice. Alex Wyatt

July 2022 – Jackson was one of the final picks taken in the 2022 NHL draft, at 196 overall. Jackson’s production for North Bay Batallion has increased steadily through his tenure, including the lost 20-21 season. This year, he finished fourth on the team in scoring, with a well balanced 30 goals and 32 assists. Given that the path to the NHL might be a little easier with the Kraken as they fill their cupboard and develop their identity, if Jackson keeps building on his strong season and trajectory thus far, he could end up putting on a Kraken sweater at some point.
