Fantasy Summary

Delic is a projectable, intelligent, intense centreman who makes for a straightforward NHL projection in a bottom-six role with his foundation of high-end work rate, strong off-puck routes, strong distribution, and overall offensive and transition efficiency.

June 2023 – Delic may get his name called at the draft as a result of stealing away the attention of scouts who watched Sudbury for Quentin Musty or even Matthew Mania, and he’s more than earned that selection; he should have been picked last season. Delic is a two-way centre who already plays a pro-style game based on high pace, suffocating intensity, diverse rush patterns, strong distribution, and quick processing. He has a high work rate, consistently applies pressure as the F1 on the forecheck, and is a nuisance to the opposition in the defensive zone. In transition, he switches lanes regularly and doggedly attacks the middle when a lane opens up for him. On the powerplay, he is effective as a bumper, but could be more effective still in a role with more puck touches and the responsibility of distribution. His NHL projection is a relatively straightforward one, especially for a D+1, though he lacks top-six upside. Sebastian High
