Observations
October 2025 – Lajoie went undrafted after a decent step forward in his second WHL season. He grew his six goal, four assist in 60 games rookie output to 14 goals and 21 assists in 67 games as a sophomore.
Though on the smaller side by NHL standards at 5-11 and 179 lbs, Lajoie is a stalwart forechecker and brings energy on every shift- precisely the archetype of player that everyone is talking about with the recent playoff success of the Florida Panthers.
Lajoie has started the 2025-26 WHL campaign on fire, with five goals and three assists in five games. He seems to have a penchant for starting quickly, with nearly the identical output to begin last year before cooling of considerably.
If he can sustain the pace this time around, he is worth putting on your watchlist. Alex Wyatt
