July 2025 – Dureau was not tended an qualifying offer, and has become a free agent. Given that he has been spending more of his time in Orlando with the ECHL’s Solar Bears than in Tampa with the Lightning, the organization likely feels the roster spot and contract space was better used elsewhere. Alex Wyatt

July 2024 – Spending practically the whole season in the ECHL, Jaydon has seen some growth in his game, including a point-per-game effort in the playoffs. Dureau is still not certainty to make the AHL at this point, and now, in the final year of his entry-level contract, his time might be over sooner rather than later. There will have to be a clear improvement in his overall game this year if he wants a slim chance to make the NHL someday. Markus Roach

June 2023 – Dureau’s first year of professional hockey was split between Syracuse of the AHL and Orlando of the ECHL, with the young winger spending more time in the latter. Dureau seems to still be adjusting to the professional game, as his play feels like that of a junior player. Outside of his poor production in both leagues, Dureau’s defensive game was a major concern this season, and his effort in his own end was severely lacking. He has two more years on his entry-level deal to improve upon this glaring deficiency, but could very well spend that time in the ECHL. Wade Messier
