A long-term project, Kurtz’s timeline looks like the Ducks are aligning him to be NHL-ready in the heart of their Cup window, where he can be relied upon while on a cost-controlled entry-level deal. He’ll take the long NCAA route to the NHL, so expect Kurtz in closer to four to five years.
