November 2025 – An injury to Gudas forced Moore into NHL action after just a single AHL game. Skating alongside Mintyukov, the pair has looked solid through six games from the eye test. Moore’s excellent skating helps him defend rushes and close gaps effectively. While he has made some mistakes, it is within the expectations of any rookie defenseman. It is still early, but Moore has not looked out of place. Once Gudas returns, it’s best to expect Moore to be sent back down. However, he is already making a strong case for himself, either for a full-time role next season or, if Gudas is traded, later this year. Markus R

August 2025 – Last season, it was Sam Colangelo who came out of the collegiate ranks and impressed immediately. This season, it is Moore. His NCAA numbers don’t stand out if anything, they are a bit disappointing- but in his limited time on professional ice, he has forced everyone to reconsider. Moore possesses many of the ideal qualities for a third-pairing shutdown defender; he is a skilled skater, active defensively, and reliable when clearing the puck safely. He looks likely to start with the Gulls, and if he impresses there, he could attempt to dethrone Helleson for the third-pairing spot. He is unlikely to hold much value for fantasy managers outside of the absolute deepest leagues. Markus R

April 2025 – The Anaheim Ducks signed Moore to a two-year, entry-level contract beginning in the 2024-25 NHL season. Mark Henry

March 2025 – Moore signed an Amateur Tryout with the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), on March 20, 2025, following his collegiate career with Harvard University. Mark Henry

May 2022 – The Massachusetts native has a great stride and plays a sound defensive game. Moore’s name won’t be on the box score each game, but he will be present on the ice. He is a future top-4 shutdown defenseman who uses his big frame to take opponents off the puck and transition the play the other way. Anaheim does a fantastic job developing these defensemen in later rounds, and Moore will be added to that list. He’ll play at the collegiate level for a couple more seasons to round out his game.
