December 2022 – Desnoyers is having a great first pro season with the AHL Phantoms, consistently being one of the team leaders in points scored. Do not expect Desnoyers to be called up with the Flyers this season as a full season in the minor should help him develop much better. Clare McManus
June 2022 – Finishing up his final campaign in the QMJHL with 42 goals and 46 assists with the Mooseheads, Desnoyers embarks on the next step of his hockey journey, likely as a member of the Phantoms in the AHL next season. Taken by Philadelphia in the fifth round in 2020, Desnoyers’s production in Halifax instilled excitement in the hardcore Flyers, hoping Fletcher grabbed a steal with pick 135. Unlikely producing offensively at the level he did in the QMHJL, Desnoyers projects a reliable bottom-six forward with advanced two-way capabilities. Desnoyers should play all of the 2022-23 season in the AHL, especially if the Flyers can turn their fortunes around. Still, picturing Desnoyers as a part of Philadelphia’s bottom-six group the following season seems realistic. John Gove
October 2020 – Desnoyers remained stagnant in his production, largely because of his standing on the depth chart. He’s making good in his new role with the Halifax Mooseheads as a point per game player through six games. Showing offensive promise is becoming more commonplace in his game while maintaining his reputation as a reliable defensive presence for the team. So far, this pick is making Flyers Hockey Operations look rather savvy. Edric Joseph
