Fantasy Summary

Pakkila is a bit of a long-shot but has some elite-level skills that may take time to come to fruition.

March 2022 – With 19 points in 51 games for the Finnish Liiga, Päkkilä’s production has stagnated slightly and he seems to have hit a wall in terms of his development. Don’t expect much out of this prospect, as he’ll likely remain overseas and be just another unfruitful seventh-rounder. Hadi Kalakeche

March 2020 – Päkkilä continued to improve defensively as a two-way forward. He had just two points over the final 15 contests for Ilves. He was expected to work with a strength and skating coach over the summer.  Chris Wassel

January 2020 – Päkkilä graduated to Ilves in the Lliga and has performed solidly so far. He has nine points in 24 games with limited ice time. As his defensive skills improve and he adjusts to the pace, expect Pakkila to garner more opportunities.  Chris Wassel

May 2019 — Päkkilä surprised a lot of people in the Jr-A-SM-lliga with 38 goals in just 52 games. This was an even bigger breakout than last season’s 23 goals. He was able to up his point total to 60 points. While the forward has a long way to go, he is growing and quickly. Next season he joins Ilves of the Finnish Elite League.  Chris Wassel
