Unrestricted Free Agent

Fantasy Summary

DiDomenico isn’t the biggest player on the ice and the size disadvantage is hindering his success in the pros.

Observations

February 2018 – Didomenico joins the Blackhawks organization for a second time. He was added for extra depth at the AHL level, but should see some time in the NHL if the Hawks run into injuries. He becomes the fourth former member of the Saint John Seadogs currently in the organization joining Tomas Jurco, Nathan Noel and Matthew Highmore. Tony Carr

February 2018- DiDomenico has made a triumphant return to North America and has split his season between the NHL and the AHL with the Ottawa Senators. His six goals and ten points in 24 games with the Sens is not very fantasy relevant, and at 28-years-old the upside may not be too exciting either. DiDomenico was traded trom Ottawa to Chicago for Ville Pokka and was immediately assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Rockford Icehogs. The last time he played in North America it was with Rockford back in 2012.

July 2012 – The Blackhawks elected not to tender DiDomenico a qualifying offer and he is an unrestricted free agent. – Dobber

March 2012 – DiDomenico is a player already behind the eight-ball  with his lack of size and only average skating stride. He played four seasons in the QMJHL for Saint John and Drummondville while acheiving more offensive success during the first two seasons. He is good at taking draws and killing penalties, although has been shuffling between the ECHL and AHL during his first two years of pro hockey.
