Fantasy Summary
Lindbom has shown early signs of becoming a draft day steal, being taken at the very end of his 2021 draft year. On the smaller side for goalies but with the heart of a lion, questions will linger about his size until he shows what he can do on North American ice.

July 2025 – Carl Lindbom made his way across the ocean to Henderson of the AHL in the second year of his Entry Level Contract, and his adaptation to the North American pro game was a quick success.
His 36-game line of 18-15-3 with a 2.65 GAA and .912 save percentage put him head and shoulders above Akira Schmid and 29th and 17th AHL-wide for GAA and save percentage respectively. Adin Hill is the incumbent keeper at the AHL level, but Lindbom is the best goaltender in the pipeline behind him, though Vegas would be wise to give him more than one season to acclimate before throwing him into the backup position right away.
Expect to see Lindbom spend the better part of at least one more season with Henderson before he advances as a legit backup option. Alex Wyatt
March 2023 – To the question of where in the draft a team should select a goaltender in the hopes of finding a future starter, the case of Carl Lindbom may prove once more that there is no definitive answer. Those unfamiliar with the 6-1 Lindbom were quickly acquainted at this year’s World Junior Championships. There, he continued a strong early track record in his international career with a standout performance for Sweden, coming in a tournament filled with phenomenal goaltending. Since the Knights made Lindbom the 222nd pick out of 224 in the 2021 draft, he’s done nothing but shut down his doubters (and opposing shooters). He’s currently in the midst of an incredible season with his club team Djurgardens back in Allsvenskan in Sweden, with a .930 save percentage and 1.86 GAA through 36 games played in Sweden’s second-highest division. Still not convinced? Turns out he’s a pretty good puck handler too, scoring a goal for Djurgardens last month as well. Taylor Davis
