March 2022 – After significantly raising his point totals in three consecutive USHL schedules, the 20-year-old is posting encouraging numbers in his NCAA début. The energetic center has eight goals and 15 assists in 37 games with the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Some proactive forechecking adds to his value. Mark Allan

July 2021 – Berg created some intriguing U.S. Hockey League stats on which to build after a trade from the Omaha Lancers. Finding his scoring touch with 18 goals and 12 assists in 32 appearances with Muskegon, he upped the ante the next season with 27 scores and 31 helpers in 51 outings for the Lumberjacks. He finished seventh in the USHL in goals and points. Four goals in four post-season games were the cherry on top of a promising campaign. Next up for the solidly built six-foot, 192-pounder is the University of Nebraska-Omaha. While listed as a center, he’ll likely find more success on the wing at some point due to his rambunctious, straight-ahead approach and heavy shot. Mark Allan
