June 2025 – Selected 197th overall, Brendan Dunphy is now a member of the Florida Panthers. Dunphy joined the Wenatchee Wild in the Western Hockey League in November 2024 after being acquired in a trade from the Regina Pats and signing with the Wild after one and a half seasons with the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). During his time in the BCHL, he produced 12 points (two goals and 10 assists) in 68 games. Upon joining the Wild, he exceeded expectations offensively, where he produced 22 points (four goals and 18 assists) in 47 regular-season games. Dunphy will play at the University of Connecticut during the 2025-26 season. If he continues to trend upward offensively at the NCAA level, he could climb onto the fantasy radar in deep dynasty leagues as a solid two-way defender with offensive ability that provides peripheral stats.
