January 2024 – Biro earned his first extended audition with the Sabres at the start of 2023-2024. In five games with the Sabres, he scored two goals and saw an average of 10:51 of ice time. Upon his return to the AHL, he has scored eleven goals and 23 points in 28 games with Rochester. Kevin Wong

May 2023 – With 16 goals and 51 points in 49 games as a member of the AHL’s Rochester Americans this past regular season, Biro finished second in team scoring despite missing a significant amount of time because of injury. He had by far the highest points-per-game average among Rochester players and was the team’s most valuable player, contributing both offensively as well as defensively. His defensive leadership was on display throughout the campaign, as he combined speed with grit at both ends of the ice. Biro was deployed in crucial defensive situations for his team and was a top penalty killer. He was named to the 2023 AHL All-Star Game but could not attend the event due to a lower-body injury. Biro missed a majority of games in the final month of the season and underwent surgery for his injury in late April. He has one year remaining on his current contract and will be an RFA upon its expiry. Kevin Wong

August 2020 – Biro was signed to a two-year, entry-level deal in March 2020. This high-octane, playmaking forward will likely join the Rochester Americans of the AHL next season. He spent time on Penn State’s top line this season and amassed 10 goals, 25 points in 25 games. He needs to add more shift-to-shift consistency to his game, as there are times when he fades into the background of the game. He also needs to focus on better positioning to pressure the opponent more effectively on the forecheck. Kevin Wong

March 2020 – Biro had impressed the Buffalo Sabres two years ago when he was invited to development camp. The Sabres had been keeping tabs on the left-winger ever since. Biro just finished his senior campaign at Penn State, and in 25 games played he tallied 10 goals and 15 assists. This past season, he was the Nittany Lions’ captain and helped lead the club to the number one seed in the Big Ten conference. With the Big Ten Championship and the NCAA Tournament cancelled, Biro’s next appearance could either be with the Rochester Americans once play resumes or at Sabres camp. Josh Tessler
