Fantasy Summary

A hard-nosed two-way defenceman with some offensive upside. Excels at rushing the puck and plays with a physical edge. Additional value in leagues that reward hits and penalty minutes.

April 2020 – Keeper currently projects as a bubble NHLer but with another year of development in the AHL that could be a different story. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status. Keith Fries

March 2019  After the Maine Black Bears were eliminated by the ninth-ranked Northeastern Huskies, the Florida Panthers were quick to sign Brady Keeper, a 6-foot-2 right-handed defenceman, to a two-year deal with a cap hit of $925,000. He leaves the University of Maine with totals of 44 points and 146 penalty minutes in 73 NCAA games. The physical two-way defender does not shy away from physical play and will dazzle you with his excellent transitional play. With the lack of depth on the right-side of the Panthers’ defence and Keeper’s skill set, there is a chance for him to get a look down the stretch or at training camp next September. Maxime Tellier
