Blake Montgomery

February 2025 – Blake Montgomery is rapidly climbing the Ottawa Senators prospect rankings this season. Montgomery has a powerful stride, and for his 6-4 195 lbs frame, he can get up to top speed quickly, putting opposing defensemen on their heels. He has a heavy shot with a quick release. Montgomery plays a north-south game but can also go east to west with surprisingly silky hands for a big man. After moving to the London Knights from the Lincoln Stars in the USHL this season, Montgomery started slowly, transitioning to the OHL. Since the end of November, Montgomery has found his stride and is taking advantage of a top-six role for the Knights. In his last 24 games, Montgomery has 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points, producing 1.5 points per game in that stretch. Until January 24th, the Bowie, Maryland native had 24 points during a 14-game streak. He has all the tools to become a middle-six winger in the NHL. Andrew Barrett
