June 2019 – The Sharks signed Shortridge as a free agent in April of 2019, coming off three years with the ECAC’s Quinnipiac Bobcats. In his last NCAA seasons Shortridge posted great numbers with a 1.51 GAA and a .940 SV% for a strong Quinnipiac team. This clearly piked the Sharks’ interest enough to earn him an entry level deal. Shortridge will likely get some AHL starts next season but with Korenar and Bibeau still in San Jose, there isn’t a lot of room for now. Chris Legg
