August 2022 – Wingerli was not qualified by the Avs at the conclusion of 2021-22.
February 2022 – Through 39 North American contests, Wingerli has put up seven goals and eight assists with the AHL Eagles. His shooting rate of 1.5 SOG/game is acceptable and his 16 PIMs are a nice fantasy bonus, but playing AHL third-line minutes and having already switched to playing the wing most nights means that he has plenty of development required before he will be a serious call-up candidate. On a more promising note he is seeing penalty kill minutes of late which always a welcome sign. Hayden Soboleski
September 2021 – Wingerli is getting his first taste of North American pro in Avs training camp after signing a one-year deal this offseason. After six seasons in the SHL, the small and feisty centerman will have a crack at a depth NHL roster spot but is more likely to ease into the organization via some AHL time. With a career-high production of 32 points in 51 contests, Wingerli has modest but tangible fantasy upside and may bring peripheral value in PIMs and hits despite his small stature. At age 24 he is older than most pro rookies but that can often be an advantage in terms of earning more responsibilities right away if he starts with the Eagles. He is worth a gamble in deep multi-cat leagues with lots of spots to stash prospects. Hayden Soboleski
