Andre Gasseau

December 2025 –  Gasseau is now in his fourth season with the Boston College Eagles, consistently hovering around the 30-point mark throughout his college career. With stars like Ryan Leonard, Gabe Perreault, and Jacob Fowler moving on, this year was set to be a major opportunity for Gasseau to take a step forward both on and off the ice. He was named captain, but after just five games, he was shut down indefinitely due to injury. In that short stretch, he posted one goal and three assists.

Even if Gasseau does not return this season, Boston or Providence is expected to offer him a contract once the NCAA year ends. He has already shown he can be an impactful pro with continued development, and the injury does not change the organization’s view of his potential.

Gasseau brings a potent blend of size, power, and skill. He owns a heavy shot and plays a reliable 200-foot game that fits perfectly with the Bruins’ identity. His hands are smooth, his hockey IQ stands out, and he reads plays exceptionally well. The one area that still lags is his skating, which is pretty standard for bigger forwards. However, he’s made steady progress since being drafted in 2021, and the Bruins believe he will keep trending in the right direction.

From a fantasy perspective, he is not a player to invest in yet. Gasseau is still a few years away from being NHL-ready and is not worth occupying a roster spot in most formats right now. Kenny Kaminsky
