June 2025 – Blais committed to the University of Connecticut for the 2025-26 season after completing his fourth QMJHL season, where he led the Rimouski Oceanic in scoring with 20 goals and 53 assists for 73 points in 60 games. The QMJHL is known for its arcade-style points scoring, but it is worth knowing that the young forward’s points-per-game pace over his age 19 and his age 20 seasons are in the top 100 (51st and 95th, respectively) for the age group since 2009. He is essentially unowned in Fantrax leagues and would be worth a speculative stash in leagues that value bangers with decent enough offensive floors. It’s interesting to note that Blais’ penalty minutes were cut in half this season. Alex Wyatt

June 2024 – The Anaheim Ducks drafted Blais in the fourth round (100th overall) in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Mark Henry
