April 2022 – Juuso Valimaki has been recalled from Stockton of the AHL. Valimaki has 17 points, including 15 helpers, in 30 minor-league matches this year. He has provided two assists, 11 shots, nine blocks and seven hits in eight appearances for Calgary this season. Chris Fekete

March 2022 – Valimaki was in and out of the lineup for all of last season and a good chunk of this season before being sent down to Stockton. Down in Stockton, he’s had a lot of up and down play. The hope was that sending Valimaki to the Heat could help him find his game; yet he has not been consistent, let alone much else going on. He’s got speed, size and skill in an offensive minded package that he needs to get back to. He is still young though but if he can find his mojo and return to the capability we know he can be, then he will be a valuable asset for the Flames as early as next season. Chris Fekete

Aug 2019 – It was announced that Juuso Valimaki sustained a torn ACL. He will have surgery and will most likely be out until sometime after Christmas. He will need time to recover on ice as well so expect mostly AHL games. Fantasy owners can essentially pencil him out for 2019-20 for fantasy impact. – Joel Henderson
