David Lewandowski

September 2026 – Lewandowski is a 19-year-old German player who just completed his second season in North America in the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades. He recorded 17 goals and 48 assists for 65 points in 57 games, making him the team’s leading scorer. The 2025 fourth-round Oilers pick established himself as the Blades’ top offensive producer over the last two seasons averaging 0.95 point per game. His shot and off-puck positioning give him an excellent offensive sense. Lewandowski could become a versatile forward if he improves his skating and physicality, allowing him to be more explosive and wins battles consistently along the boards. Pat Bast

August 2025 – From Germany, a country Oilers fans are pretty content with, Lewandowski brings a lot of desirable components to the table. Cerebral by nature, Lewandowski is known to be creative and tricky with maneuvering the puck around defenders. What he lacks in pure skill with the puck, he covers it with smart and quick thinking that leads to the play going up the ice in quick succession. Saskatoon Blades fans were really impressed by his shot in the 2024-25 season, and putting up 12 points in his first 15 games with the club held a lot of promise.
