Juraj Pekarčík

September 2025 – Peckarcik skated as a rookie in the QMJHL in 2024-2025, posting 24 goals and 43 assists for 67 points in 53 games. He sat inside the top-20 for total points and points per game, no small feat for a first-year played. This is a more interesting feat given that when he came over from Europe last year, he played in the USHL and sat 21st in total points eighth in points per game. Clearly Pekarcik is a malleable player and has proven his offensive ability as well.

This flexibility could allow him to play up and down the line up in multiple situations, and increase his likelihood of finding a consistent role in the NHL. His ceiling will need to be defined, but he appears to be a very capable playmaker, and at 6-2 and 2025 pounds, he is already of NHL size.

He will make his way to Springfield of the AHL for yet another new challenge, and could see some injury call ups if his play earns him the honour. He’s certainly worth a stash in deeper leagues as a great buy-low to see if he can exceed point per game is his fourth league in a row. Alex Wyatt

May 2025 – This is Pekarčík’s third league in as many seasons, and he’s adjusted well. That transition bodes well for his ability to adapt. He’s improved his offensive touch and influence every year in North America. His defensive awareness still needs work, as he can often be out of position, but overall, he’s developing as a third-liner with upside. Arden McLeod
