Observations:

July 2015 – After two mediocre seasons with Rockford of the AHL in which he put up 28 points in 117 games, LeBlanc signed a one-year deal with the Ausburger Panther of the DEL. The 2013 Hobey Baker Award winner was unable to translate his NCAA success into much of anything at the pro level in North America. At 26, it is fair to wonder if we he will ever make an impact at the NHL level. Matt Donohue

December 2014 – Coming off a season that saw him put up 22 points in 76 games, LeBlanc has gotten off to a slow start in 2014-15 with just two goals in 14 games for Rockford. It's an unfortunate start to the year for the 2013 Hobey Baker Award winner who was expected to take the next step in his second pro season and emerge as potential call up for the Blackhawks. Of course the season is still young, but LeBlanc is slowly running out of time as younger prospects emerge as options for Chicago. We will keep you posted if/when LeBlanc turns his season around in Rockford.Matt Donohue

September 2013- LeBlanc has been sent down to Rockford in the latest round of training camp cuts in Chicago. He lasted until the next-to-last round of cuts which speaks well about his performance in camp and pre-season. Rex Doty

July 2103- LeBlanc and the Blackhawks have come to terms on a two-year contract. LeBlanc will start the season in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs as he works to transition from the NCAA to the pro level.

June 2013- The 2013 Hobey Baker Award winner is a study in perseverance . After his 2011-12 was cut short by a horrific leg injury similar to Joe Theisman, and more recently, Kevin Ware of Louisville, LeBlanc was granted a medical redshirt allowing him one more shot to finish his college career on a high-note. He did just that, leading St. Cloud State to a berth in the Frozen Four. He finished his senior season with 50 points(13 goals, 37 assists) in 42 games. On the same day he received the Hobey Baker, he inked a one year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. LeBlanc did play in two games following his signing, but was held off the scoresheet. He also logged six games for the U.S. at the World Championships, where he picked up three assists. Drew’s best assets are good vision, passing skills, leadership, and a knack for timely goals. He also possesses the ability to make his linemates better. – Rex Doty

Fantasy Outlook: F

He may need some time in Rockford as he adapts to the pro game, and earns his spot in the bottom six in Chicago.
