Soderstrom plays with a remarkable amount of poise and concentration. He never overplays a shot. His economy of movement in the crease – both in terms of his stance and his shuffle – is very advanced for any age or experience level. His technique is tight and well anchored. He needs to ensure that he uses his size to his advantage at the next level and, like many Swedes, he has a habit of being about six to 12 inches deeper in the crease than one might expect.

A towering defender with a large wingspan who projects to be a two-way defender with good mobility. Capable of providing some offense.

A skilled playmaker who likes to create offense in transition. Often distributes the puck to teammates through the neutral zone and allows them to lead the attack.

A two-way, forechecking centerman who uses his speed and determination at both ends of the rink. Has not yet learned to generate consistent offense at the SHL level and continues to play a limited role.

Jakob Stenqvist

Stenqvist possesses an excellent mobility with great puck skills, which could develop him into a great fantasy asset down the road. He's a project.

His lack of size, strength and the Atlantic Ocean are all that's between him and the NHL since he signed a three-year deal in the Swedish Hockey League.
