Observations

July 2025 – Fischer represented team USA during the 2025 World Juniors and registered one point in two games. He also scored 21 points in 36 games for the University of Notre Dame, where he was tied for the team lead in points by a defenceman. There seems to be some offensive ability in Fischer if given the opportunity, which should help him succeed at the professional level if he improves his defensive habits. Currently, Fischer projects as a bottom pairing defenceman should he make it to the NHL. He should not be on fantasy manager’s radars for the next couple of years though as he has a lot of development to do before getting a chance at the NHL. Ioan Gheordanescu

August 2024 – The Edmonton Oilers acquired Fischer and a 2028 third-round draft pick from the Blues in exchange for future considerations on August 20, 2024. Mark Henry
