September 2025 – Washington Capitals’ seventh-round pick (212th overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft, Miroslav Šatan Jr.., signed an OHL Standard Player Agreement on August 27, 2025, with the Saginaw Spirit. The 6-7 forward split the 2024-25 season between the Sioux Falls Stampede and Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL). In 45 games combined, he produced three goals and one assist. Šatan Jr. also represented Slovakia at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The son of former NHL player Miroslav Šatan, Šatan Jr, has a long way to go to become fantasy-relevant. There is no need to roster him in any league unless he starts to produce offensively with the Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League during the 2025-26 season. Mark Henry
