June 2025 – Selected 150th overall, Max Heise is now a member of the San Jose Sharks. Heise will play in the Western Hockey League during the 2025-26 season and is committed to playing at Michigan State University for the 2026-27 campaign. The 19-year-old played two seasons in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees and in 2024-25 more than doubled his offensive production from his rookie season in 2022-23. He recorded a team high 27 goals and added 13 assists in 50 regular-season games. He also chipped in with 17 points (five goals and 12 assists) in 14 playoff games. Heise plays both center and wing. Although he’s a long way from fantasy relevance, the CHL to NCAA route gives him time to develop. Mark Henry
