July 2025 – The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Riley Fiddler-Schultz to a two-year, entry-level contract on July 2, 2025. The 23-year-old signed with the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans as an undrafted free agent in 2023, at the end of his junior career with the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Hitmen. He split the 2023-24 season between the ECHL (Jacksonville Icemen) and the AHL with the Americans. Fiddler-Schultz played the entire 2024-25 campaign in Rochester, where he appeared in 51 regular-season games, scoring 26 points (13 goals and 13 assists), and added another three points (one goal and two assists) in eight playoff games. Do not consider him a fantasy option, but remember that it is Buffalo; anything can happen. He is an organizational depth forward who will only see an NHL opportunity if several injury occurs on the Sabres’ forwards. Mark Henry
