Frédéric Brunet

July 2025 – Brunet has made a seamless transition to the AHL level and even got his first NHL game under his belt at the end of the 2024-25 season. He wracked up a few hits and blocked shots, so the fantasy projection is converting to a bottom four defender that can help your team with those categories. He has not typically put up a lot of penalty minutes or points though, so he is likely more impactful for his NHL team then your fantasy team once he’s playing regular minutes. Ioan Gheordanescu

April 2023 – Frederic Brunet started the season in a leadership role, captaining the Rimouski
Oceanic until a mid-season trade brought him to a contending Victoriaville Tigres. The deal
didn’t affect his output, as he registered 16 goals and 57 assists in a combined 66 games between
both teams. With an ever-growing offensive game and strong leadership abilities, Brunet could
be a name to watch after some more time to develop. If Brunet ever gets a chance on an NHL
blueline, he has the tools to contribute from a fantasy perspective. Nate Duffett
