Fantasy Summary
Lindbom has shown early signs of becoming a draft day steal, being taken at the very end of his 2021 draft year. On the smaller side for goalies but with the heart of a lion, questions will linger about his size until he shows what he can do on North American ice.

March 2023 – To the question of where in the draft a team should select a goaltender in the hopes of finding a future starter, the case of Carl Lindbom may prove once more that there is no definitive answer. Those unfamiliar with the 6-1 Lindbom were quickly acquainted at this year’s World Junior Championships. There, he continued a strong early track record in his international career with a standout performance for Sweden, coming in a tournament filled with phenomenal goaltending. Since the Knights made Lindbom the 222nd pick out of 224 in the 2021 draft, he’s done nothing but shut down his doubters (and opposing shooters). He’s currently in the midst of an incredible season with his club team Djurgardens back in Allsvenskan in Sweden, with a .930 save percentage and 1.86 GAA through 36 games played in Sweden’s second-highest division. Still not convinced? Turns out he’s a pretty good puck handler too, scoring a goal for Djurgardens last month as well. Taylor Davis
