Observations:

December 2014 – Colby Robak has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Jesse Blacker.  Robak had put up zero points in limited action playing in just seven games thus far into the season with the Panthers.  Blacker played his first game of the season with Anaheim on November 28th after being called up from the AHL where he had put up five points in 15 games with Norfolk. Lee Rayson

February 2014 – Robak has 16 points in 47 games for the Rampage this season. Likely not worth holding onto. Nathan Kanter

April 2013 – On April 23rd Robak played his first game for the Panthers in almost a month, after spending the majority of April with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. While in the minors, Robak posted two goals and two assists in 11 games, but had a horrendous minus-17 rating as the Rampage went 0-9-2, giving up nearly five goals per game during that span. Playing in just over 15 minutes for the Panthers on April 23rd, Robak but didn’t register anything except for a minus-1 and a couple blocks. With Kulikov likely done for the remaining few games of the season, Robak has a chance to make a statement now, though the Petrovic call-up will hurt his ice-time. Nathan Kanter

March 2013 – Called up again, possibly for good, in late February…The offense hasn't emerged yet at the NHL level, but his ice time has been inching upwards thanks to injuries to Dmitri Kulikov, Ed Jovanovski and Mike Weaver…Despite added ice time, he's shooting less, not more. That needs to change if he's going to stick. Dobber

April 2012 – Robak is a solid puck-moving defenseman with a hard and heavy shot from the point. He possesses a good hockey IQ who plays all zones of the ice well and is very poised with the puck. He is an above average skater who could use more experience in the AHL while developing greater strength to his game. Robak will most likely spend another season down on the farm as the depth chart on the blue line in the Panthers organization is a little full right now with seasoned vets and other upcoming prospects. Fantasy Outlook: D+

Robak is an intelligent D-man with a solid overall game, but his window is closing.
